Renault Viral Video Brief

Objective:

Renault required an experienced creative director and choreographer to develop and direct the movement for dancers and models featured in two versions of a viral video promoting their new car.

The video needed to creatively showcase the car's "Va Va Voom" feature while captivating audiences with engaging choreography and visuals.

Renault Viral Video Implementation

To bring Renault's vision to life, international creative director and choreographer Kwame Knight devised the routines for both versions of the viral video.

In the video, unsuspecting drivers test the new Renault car and are prompted to press the "Va Va Voom" button on the dashboard. As they do, the scene around them transforms into a playful and exaggerated French setting.

This shift is filled with iconic Parisian elements, such as spontaneous kisses in the street, vendors selling roses and baguettes, violinists serenading the drivers, and models dancing around the Renault Clio.

The choreography brings an energetic and fun dynamic to the video, capturing the essence of the "Va Va Voom" tagline.

The video has two versions—one featuring men and the other featuring women—and both have garnered millions of views on YouTube since being uploaded.

The playful choreography and vibrant visual transitions, culminating in a billboard reveal with the tagline "Reignite Your Va Va Voom," made the video a viral sensation, drawing significant attention to the Renault Clio.

Kwame's expertise in movement direction, combined with his ability to craft engaging, high-energy routines, was pivotal in ensuring that the viral video captured the brand's excitement and playful spirit while driving engagement across platforms.
